वट सावित्री व्रत

हिंदू विवाहित महिलाएं जिनके पति जीवित हैं, वे अपने ससुराल और पति की लंबी उम्र के लिए वट सावित्री व्रत का पालन करती हैं। उत्तर भारत के राज्यों जैसे पंजाब, हरियाणा, दिल्ली, उत्तर प्रदेश, मध्य प्रदेश और उड़ीसा में ज्येष्ठ कृष्ण अमावस्या को वट सावित्री व्रत मनाया जाता है।

सावित्री व्रत कथा के अनुसार, बरगद के पेड़ के नीचे ही उसके सास-ससुर को दिव्य प्रकाश मिला, राज्य छिन गया और उसके मृत पति के शरीर में जीवन वापस आ गया। पुराणों के अनुसार बरगद के पेड़ में ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और महेश तीनों का वास होता है। इसके नीचे बैठकर पूजा, व्रत आदि सुनने से मनोकामनाएं पूर्ण होती हैं। इस वृक्ष के नीचे ही बुद्ध भगवान को ज्ञान की प्राप्ति हुई थी। इसलिए बरगद के पेड़ को ज्ञान, निर्वाण और दीर्घायु का प्रतीक माना जाता है।

सावित्री को आदर्श स्त्रीत्व और पवित्र पति के लिए भारतीय संस्कृति में एक ऐतिहासिक चरित्र माना जाता है। सावित्री का अर्थ वेद माता गायत्री और सरस्वती भी है। बरगद के पेड़ की भक्ति और सावित्री-सत्यवान कथा का स्मरण करने के कारण यह व्रत वट सावित्री के नाम से जाना जाने लगा।

Why is Vat Savitri Vrat Kept?

Vat Savitri Vrat Worship Method

Worshiping the banyan tree is considered to be of special importance on the day of Vat Savitri fast:-

1. All married women fasting on this day should wake up early in the morning.
2. Retiring from bath, wear clean clothes and do sixteen adornments.
3. Worship the banyan tree and show incense by lighting a lamp.
4. Read Vat Savitri Vrat Katha and enjoy homemade dishes.
5. Wrap the raw thread around the banyan tree making 5 or 7 rounds.
6. Put a pitha or impression of rice flour in the banyan tree and apply vermilion tika in it.
7. Listen to the story wearing a garland of banyan tree leaves. Then offer Arghya while meditating on Mother Savitri.
8. While worshiping on this day, one must chant the mantra ‘Avaidhavyan cha Saubhagyam Dehi Twam Mam Suvrate, Putrana Pautranshcha Saukhyam Cha Grihanadhyam Namostute’.
9. Sip 11 soaked gram along with banyan fruit with water and ask for the boon of husband’s longevity.

वट सावित्री व्रत पूजा विधि

वट सावित्री व्रत के दिन बरगद के पेड़ की पूजा करने का विशेष महत्व माना जाता है:-

1. वट सावित्री व्रत का व्रत करने वाली प्रत्येक विवाहित महिला को जल्दी उठना चाहिए।
2. जल से बाहर निकलकर स्वच्छ वस्त्र धारण करें और 16 आभूषण पूरे करें।
3. बरगद के पेड़ की पूजा करें और दीपक जलाकर धूप दिखाएं।
4. वट सावित्री व्रत कथा पढ़ें और घर के बने व्यंजनों का आनंद लें।
5. कच्चे धागे को बरगद के पेड़ के चारों ओर लपेटकर 5 या 7 फेरे लगाएं।
6. पीठा या चावल के आटे से छाप बनाकर बरगद के पेड़ पर सिंदूर का टीका लगाएं।
7. बरगद के पेड़ के पत्तों की माला पहनकर कथा सुनें। फिर मां सावित्री का ध्यान करते हुए अर्घ्य दें।
8. इस दिन पूजा करते समय ‘अवैधव्यं च सौभाग्यं देहि त्वं मम सुव्रते, पुत्रण पौत्रांश सौख्यं च गृहणध्यं नमोस्तुते’ मंत्र का जाप करना चाहिए।
9. बरगद के फल के साथ 11 भीगे हुए चने जल के साथ घूंट-घूंट कर पति की लंबी उम्र का वरदान मांगें।

Ashwapati was the name of the ruler of the Bhadra nation. There were no children born to Bhadra King Ashwapati.

He sang mantras for the acquisition of offspring and gave one lakh oblations each day. This pattern persisted for 18 years.

After after, Savitri Devi made an appearance and promised Rajan that she would have a smart daughter. The girl was given the name Savitri since she was born via Savitri Devi’s favour.

The youngster had a lovely upbringing. The fact that Savitri’s father did not find a suitable husband made him sad. He himself ordered the girl to look for a husband.

Savitri began to stray around Tapovan. Since his realm had been taken by someone, King Dyumatsen of Salva nation stayed there. When Satyavan saw his son, Savitri decided to marry him.

When Rishiraj Narad learned of this, he approached King Ashwapati and addressed him as “O king!” What do you have to say? Although Satyavan is powerful, moral, and religious, his life span is quite brief. After a year, he will just pass away.

Following Rishiraj Narad’s speech, King Ashwapati became extremely concerned. The monarch said, “Daughter, the prince you have chosen as your groom is short-lived,” when Savitri questioned him as to why. Make someone else your life partner instead of yourself.

Savitri said, “Father, Aryan girls only marry their husbands once, the king gives orders only once, the pundits make promises only once, and Kanyadan is also performed only once.”

Savitri began to be obstinate and declared, “I will only marry Satyavan.” Satyavan and Savitri were wedded by King Ashwapati.

Savitri began helping her mother-in-law and father-in-law as soon as she arrived at her in-laws’ home. Time sped up. The day of Satyavan’s death has already been disclosed to Savitri by Narada Muni. Savitri got impatient as the day drew near. Three days before to the event, he started fasting. On the particular day Narada Muni said, people worshipped their ancestors.

Like every day, Satyavan went to the forest with Savitri to cut wood. Satyavan entered the jungle and ascended a tree to begin cutting wood. Because of the intense pain in his head, Satyavan descended from the tree in agony. Savitri was aware of what lay next.

Savitri began stroking Satyavan’s head while keeping it on her lap. Yamraj wasn’t observed arriving till that point. Satyavan began travelling with Yamraj. He was followed by Savitri.

Yamraj made an effort to persuade Savitri that this was the law. Savitri, however, disagreed.

Yamraj told Savitri, “O Goddess, you are blessed,” after observing her devotion to her husband. Ask me for any favour.

1) According to Savitri, since my father-in-law and his father-in-law live in the jungle and are blind, you must grant them heavenly light. Yamraj predicted that things would go down in this way. Back off now

Savitri, however, continued to pursue her husband Satyavan. Devi, Yamraj said, “Go back.” God, I have no trouble obeying my spouse, Savitri prayed. It is my responsibility to obey my hubby. When he learned this, he once more urged her to look for another groom.

2) Savitri said, “Get back the kingdom that has been stolen from our father-in-law.”

Savitri was likewise given this blessing by Yamraj, who then told her to return. But Savitri continued to oscillate.

Yamraj instructed Savitri to make a third boon request.

3) Savitri prayed for good fortune and a blessing of 100 children on this day. Savitri was also given this blessing by Yamraj.

Savitri said Yamraj, “Lord, you have blessed me to be a son. I’m a loving wife. After knowing this, Yamraj felt compelled to save Satyavan’s life. Savitri approached the same banyan tree where her husband’s body was laying while Yamraj continued his meditation.

Satyavan awoke, and the two joyfully departed for their own kingdoms. The parents had acquired heavenly illumination when the two of them arrived at home. Savitri-Satyawan therefore proceeded to bask in the kingdom’s delight for all of eternity.

निम्नलिखित सावित्री व्रत की कथा है, जो ज्येष्ठ कृष्ण अमावस्या के दिन होती है, एक ऐसा त्योहार जो विवाहित महिलाओं द्वारा अत्यधिक पसंद किया जाता है।

अश्वपति भद्र राष्ट्र के शासक का नाम था। भद्र राजा अश्वपति के कोई संतान नहीं थी।

उन्होंने संतान की प्राप्ति के लिए मंत्र गाए और प्रतिदिन एक लाख आहुति दी। यह पैटर्न 18 साल तक कायम रहा।

उसके बाद, सावित्री देवी प्रकट हुईं और उन्होंने राजन से वादा किया कि उनकी एक स्मार्ट बेटी होगी। सावित्री देवी के पक्ष से पैदा होने के बाद से लड़की को सावित्री नाम दिया गया था।

नौजवान की प्यारी परवरिश हुई। सावित्री के पिता को योग्य वर न मिलने की बात ने उन्हें दुखी कर दिया। उसने खुद लड़की को पति की तलाश करने का आदेश दिया।

यह जानने के बाद, बुद्धिमान पुरुष नारद राजा अश्वपति के पास गए और विनती की, “हे राजा! आप क्या सोचते हैं? सत्यवान अत्यंत बलवान, नैतिक और भक्त है, फिर भी वह केवल कुछ ही समय जीवित रहता है। केवल एक वर्ष के बाद, वह समाप्त हो जाएगा।

राजा अश्वपति नारद मुनि के वचनों से घबरा गए थे। सावित्री ने उनसे इसका कारण पूछा, तो उन्होंने कहा, “बेटी, आर्यन लड़कियाँ केवल एक बार ही अपने पति से विवाह करती हैं, राजा केवल एक बार ही आदेश देते हैं, पंडित केवल एक बार ही वादा करते हैं, और कन्यादान भी केवल एक बार ही किया जाता है।”

सावित्री अड़ियाँ मारते हुए घोषणा करती है, “मैं केवल सत्यवान के साथ ही विवाह करूंगी।” सत्यवान और सावित्री का विवाह राजा अश्वपति द्वारा हुआ था।

ससुराल पहुंचते ही सावित्री सास-ससुर की मदद करने लगी। समय तेज हो गया। सत्यवान की मृत्यु का दिन पहले ही नारद मुनि द्वारा सावित्री को बता दिया गया है। दिन नजदीक आते ही सावित्री अधीर हो गई। आयोजन से तीन दिन पहले उन्होंने उपवास करना शुरू कर दिया। विशेष दिन पर नारद मुनि ने कहा, लोगों ने अपने पूर्वजों की पूजा की।

प्रतिदिन की भांति सत्यवान सावित्री के साथ लकड़ी काटने वन को गया। सत्यवान जंगल में घुस गया और लकड़ी काटने के लिए एक पेड़ पर चढ़ गया। सिर में तेज दर्द होने के कारण सत्यवान तड़पता हुआ पेड़ से नीचे उतर आया। सावित्री को पता था कि आगे क्या है।

सावित्री सत्यवान को गोद में रखकर उसका सिर सहलाने लगी। उस समय तक यमराज को आते नहीं देखा गया था। सत्यवान यमराज के साथ यात्रा करने लगा। उसके पीछे सावित्री थी।

यमराज ने सावित्री को समझाने का प्रयास किया कि ऐसा ही नियम है। हालांकि, सावित्री इस पर असहमत थी।

पति के प्रति सावित्री की भक्ति देखकर यमराज ने सावित्री से कहा, “हे देवी, आप धन्य हैं।” मुझसे कोई उपकार मांगो।

1) सावित्री के अनुसार, चूंकि मेरे ससुर और उनके ससुर जंगल में रहते हैं और अंधे हैं, आप उन्हें स्वर्गीय प्रकाश प्रदान करें। यमराज ने भविष्यवाणी की कि चीजें इस तरह घटेंगी। अब पीछे हटो

यमराज ने सावित्री को आदेश दिया कि वह तीसरा वरदान मांगे।

3) सावित्री ने इस दिन सौभाग्य और 100 बच्चों के आशीर्वाद के लिए प्रार्थना की। सावित्री को भी यही वरदान यमराज ने दिया था।

सावित्री ने यमराज से कहा, “भगवान, आपने मुझे पुत्र होने का आशीर्वाद दिया है। मैं एक समर्पित पत्नी हूं।” यह जानने के बाद यमराज को सत्यवान के प्राण बचाने के लिए विवश होना पड़ा। सावित्री उसी बरगद के पेड़ के पास पहुँची जहाँ उसके पति का शव पड़ा हुआ था और यमराज ने अपना ध्यान जारी रखा था।

सत्यवान जाग गया, और दोनों खुशी-खुशी अपने-अपने राज्यों के लिए रवाना हो गए। जब वे दोनों घर पहुंचे तो माता-पिता को स्वर्गीय रोशनी मिली थी। सावित्री-सत्यवान इसलिए अनंत काल के लिए राज्य के आनंद का आनंद लेने के लिए आगे बढ़े।

परिणामस्वरूप, सावित्री की भक्ति के अनुसार, अपनी सास और ससुर को उचित सम्मान देते हुए अन्य तकनीकों का उपयोग करना शुरू करें। व्रत करने वाले व्यक्ति के वैवाहिक जीवन या जीवन साथी की उम्र में कोई परेशानी हो तो वट सावित्री व्रत करने और इस कथा को सुनने से इससे बचा जा सकता है।
